Evening tide on Barmouth Beach
This piece was created after visiting Barmouth one very blustery evening just before dusk. The sky was in places a russet orange which reflected in the sea contrasting with dark clouds drifting in from the north. I tried to capture the intensity of the atmosphere using Daler-Rowney artist oil paints on a canvas panel. This piece has a wooden frame and is corded on the back ready to hang. I thought the grey wood stain complimented the colours I used in the painting.
